Resume.io

“Commercial resume builders (Zety, Resume.io, Novoresume, etc.) trick job seekers by letting them spend hours crafting a resume in a sleek editor, only to drop a paywall, demand a $25/month recurring subscription, or slap a hideous watermark on the PDF at the very last step.”

resumake

Resume.io lets you write your whole CV, then asks for $29.95 at the download button. resumake just hands you the PDF.

MakeMyCVFree

Type your whole career into Resume.io and it holds the PDF hostage for $29.95. MakeMyCVFree just hands it over.

“I noticed a terrible trend in the career tools space: "free" resume builders that let you spend an hour typing out your work history, only to hide the final PDF export behind a $15/month subscription.”

Tailor

Every resume tool wants a sign-up or a paywall before you can hide one bullet point. Tailor wants a browser tab.

“Doing this with google docs or word docs is so tedious, and I couldn't find a simple to use online tool that wasn't blocked behind a paywall or sign up, so I made one.”

Cutora

Canva Pro wants a monthly fee to remove a background. Cutora does it in your browser and asks for nothing.

“While Canva keeps useful tools behind Pro plans, Cutora keeps image editing simple, fast, and accessible.”
