Soundpad wanted a few dollars to play your own sound files. Keys 1 to 9 now do it for free.
Soundpad charges for a sad trombone. Onion Board plays it the second you die, for nothing.
“I made a free Windows soundboard because I didn't want to pay for Soundpad or Voicemod”
Acrobat Pro wants $19.99 a month to staple two PDFs together. Pagjoro merges, signs and redacts on your own PC for the price of a download.
“Many people pay a monthly fee just to merge two PDFs or sign a form.”
Windows second-screen apps want a subscription to borrow the iPad you already paid for. OpenWinSidecar streams a real extra monitor straight into Safari and bills you nothing.
“I looked at what was available and didn't like the options — closed-source, subscription-priced, CPU-hungry, or all three — so I built my own.”
Built something because a company wanted your credit card for a feature that fits in a single file? That's spiteware. Submit it and join the hall of fame.
